80kgs
I've upped my training regime from 2 to 3 times per week - and annoyingly coming back to London has meant my weight went back up with all the carbs I eat! The third training session is put together by mike and I get to it usually on a Wednesday. I've been to see a podiatrist about the Achilles tendon pain I had in October/November and it seems like I did the right things at the right time - rest, ice, voltarol cream. The biggest things was to stop doing the hill-sprints, which we did. Seems that I have collagen build-up on my Achilles sheath on my left foot. The podiatrist, Tom, suggested that if I push it too hard I might tear the things. That freaked me out. I had lunch with Caryl recently and she recommended a sports medicine doctor near the Barbican. Part of her analysis (very brief and very little physical observation) is that it'll be almost impossible to tear my Achilles - I just don't work it hard enough. Since I don't have any pain or inflammation at the moment – despite having run in the woods in the two weeks leading up to the podiatrist's appointment – it would be useful having an ultrasound to see what's going on. So now, I'm waiting to get a referral to see Charlotte at the Barbican. Yesterday my ankle felt sore, but it isn't the Achilles sheath, it feels lower down from where the pain had been, and almost inside the ankle bone... wonder what it could be?
