79.2kgs and I own a road bike

Yup. Good girl is eating very healthily. Biggest challenge is wine but I'm getting there.
Mike suggested I choose a race to ride, which inevitably led to the need for a new bike. I've hunted and hunted - new and old - and decided on a road bike on eBay. Lost a few, but won a gorgeous yellow sleek number. Paul (at the bike shop) says she's about 15 years old, but in lovely condition. She needs a good clean and some new pedals, but then it's all go! Oh, and I need to lower the seat a bit as I'll fall on my noggin if I try and get on and off too quickly.

I changed the battery in the scales today. 9V batteries don't last terribly long do they ?

toe injury (agony!) and riding

So I managed to whack my toe with parts of a picture frame. Toe-nail on my right toe has gone blue, but by day 2 it is so much better: no more throbbing pain - thank the Lord!
Mike has suggested that I ride a race as a goal for the training. I've started looking for a bike, costing them, finding out more. It's too late for London to Brighton but there are quite a few more going including cycling along the Giant's Causeway (ha ha) - it's been a dream of mine for more than a decade to get there. Who would expect that I'd end up there on a bike? We'll have to wait and see.
Wanting to reign the eating in - more focus on diet and nutrition. Bless Wayne, he's working hard on a new website : http://fitchef.co.za/ he is such a determined man.
